Early last year I applied and was accepted to the Beautiful Beasties Network, this is an international network of professional pet photographers. You have no idea how being accepted to this network made me feel…a weird and wild happy dance was witnessed by my family
This year I have decided to participate in the Project 52 group of Beautiful Beasties. What this means is that you’ll be hearing from me every Friday! Yep, every Friday throughout 2012 I will post my Project 52 image, there will be a set theme each week. But thats not all….this works in a blog ring, so when you have read my post and get to the end, there will be a link to another fantastic pet photographers website, so you can check out their interpretation of the weeks theme, and so on continuing around the blog ring all the way back to me
So, this week is week #1 and the theme is…..”Your Pet”….an introduction to each of the photographers very own pets.
May I introduce to you all, Milly & Skarla…. (the dogs in my family, as the cats flat out refused to be in the studio today)
Milly (on the left) is the baby of the family, she is a 9 month old Australian Kelpie, or goofy clownMilly is also my first pure bred dog. Milly, while being my dog is inseparable from my 3 year old son, I’m pretty sure they will have some amazing adventures as they both grow up.
Skarla (on the right, obviously) is my serious girl, she is a 3 year old Australian Kelpie X Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Skarla is just perfect, she is loyal, she is dependable, she will model for me anytime of day or night, Skarla is my soul mate. Skarla was born at the RSPCA, her mum was a surrender case while pregnant and I think Skarla was the pick of the litter (no I’m not biased, much)
I am so grateful for both these girls, they bring so much to my life every single day.
