Beautiful Beasties – Project 52 – Retro/Vintage (12/52)

Beautiful Beasties is an international network of professional pet photographers, of which I am very privileged to be a part of. Within the network a group was formed for photographers who wanted to participate in a project, a 52 week project. Each week a theme is chosen and posted, then we all go out and take a photograph or series of photographs to fit the theme, then we all post onto our own websites and form a ring by linking all the websites. That means you can look at my images and then follow the links all over the world to see what other pet photographers are capturing.

Week 12  - Retro or vintage – our task this week was to take our favourite images and give it a retro or vintage feel, either using post processing, props, or both. I had a go at both;)
Take 1 three and a half year old human child (mine), 1 super cool dude Cavelier King Charles Spaniel, 1 pair of mirrored sunglasses, 2 vintage suitcases and the local train station add to the mix a cool Lightrom Preset and this is what you get…..
We had such a great time shooting these images, my son Ash met Dudley at the bottom of the stairs and two minutes later they were best mates. Ash and Dudley were quite prepared to jump on the next train that pulled in and head off together for an adventure!!
Now as usual, sit back get comfy and make your way all around around the blog ring starting with – North CarolinaPet Photographer Steph Skardal – until you get back here. I am looking forward to seeing the retro/vintage looks everyone else came up with this week.

These are beautiful. Hard to pick a favorite but I guess #8 and #10 are my personal faves. Great job!

This series is gorgeous. So glad that Ash and Dudley waited for a few more years before starting their adventure together! Just beautiful.

Sharon, these images are amazing!! I had so much fun looking through them. The ones on the bench at the end are my favorite. And the one just above those in the middle of Dudley looking straight at the camera. The processing on these is also beautiful!! Wonderful job this week. I really love what you’ve done!

What a cool idea. Your son looks like a tiny businessman with his trusty canine sidekick.
